Local power is necessary for the remote Access Point if you intend to use Aruba Smart Mesh technology, as Power over Ethernet, in that case, cannot be used.
This 48V power adapter can power Aruba Instant On Access Point model AP11D, providing sufficient power to both powers the unit as well as provide PoE out on its three downlink ports. A similar power adapter is included in the power bundle available for the AP11D. Order this if you wish to power with an adapter but either you ordered the standalone unit, or you’ve misplaced or need a replacement for the power adapter in the power bundle.
